Download and install Windows 10 Technical Preview

Microsoft Windows 10 Technical Preview is released and available for free download. The technical preview is officially announced and released by Microsoft for testing purpose and users are welcome to download and install Windows 10 on their pc.

Windows 10 is the official name of the Microsoft's latest operating system and the technical preview is just a beta version of the original OS. Microsoft will collect data about installation and use of this windows technical preview to improve the operating system and windows will automatically install important updates when ever available.

Windows 10 Technical Preview System Requirements:

Technically, if your PC can run Windows 8.1 then you can go for it. Not sure about your PC? Then check out the following details for minimum system requirements to install Windows 10 technical preview.
  • 1 GHz or faster processor
  • 1GB RAM for 32 bit version and 2GB RAM for 64 bit version
  • 16GB of free hard disk space
  • Microsoft DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM driver  
  • Microsoft hotmail or outlook account and internet connection
The Windows 10 technical preview is available in English, Chinese Simplified, and Brazilian Portuguese languages and will be expires on 15th of April 2015. Microsft will send notification before the expiry to upgrade to newer version of Windows 10 operating system.

Download will give you a special file which is ISO file that can be use for installation. After you finish download, you can converst and transfer the ISO file to installation media such as DVD or USB flash drive (Pen Drive). You can convert an ISO file to DVD easily by using Windows Disc Image Burner

Before you install:

  • Windows 10 Technical Preview is an early build and can be risky if you install on your primary home or business PC. Unexpected PC crashes could damage or delete files, so you should back up everything before proceed to installation.
  • Some PC processors and hardware configurations aren’t supported by Technical Preview
  • After you install the preview, you won't be able to play DVDs using Windows Media Player
  • Microsoft will collect data about your installation and use of Windows Technical Preview to improve the OS and services
  • Windows Update will be set to automatically install important updates as they become available

  1. Downloaded windows 10 technical preview 32 bit version. I've currently windows 7 on my desktop pc, can I install this on another partition to use as a dual boot system? Is it safe to use as a dual boot system with this tech preview version? Please advice.... Thank you

  3. I wrote yesterday, August 15, 2015, that a big grey square, on the bottom left of my screen advertising "search the web and windows" is taking up 25% of my screen, making it difficult to read and work.

    Today, it is taking up 50% of my screen. Please let me know how to correct as my laptop is now of no use.
